Job Description
Frontend Platform & Enablement
-
Maintain and enhance shared frontend platform capabilities used across multiple product teams
-
Support onboarding, migration, and adoption of frontend platform solutions
-
Contribute to the evolution of layout, theming, and configuration at application and platform level
-
Act as a technical point of contact for frontend-related questions, issues, and guidanc
Quality, Performance & Reliability
-
Improve frontend performance, stability, and observability across the platform
-
Strengthen logging, monitoring, and diagnostic capabilities
-
Identify and resolve recurring frontend issues impacting multiple teams
-
Drive improvements in frontend reliability and user experience consistency
Test Automation & Engineering Excellence
-
Develop and improve regression test automation using Playwright
-
Define and promote best practices for test stability, coverage, and maintainability

Enhance CI/CD pipelines and quality gates for frontend delivery (Azure DevOps)
AI-Enabled Engineering
-
Actively apply AI tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot) in daily development workflows
-
Promote responsible use of AI-assisted development across engineering teams
-
Explore and contribute to AI-driven improvements in productivity, testing, and code quality
Team & Platform Enablement
-
Act as a knowledge multiplier within a large-scale omnichannel frontend environment
-
Collaborate with teams to identify platform pain points and improvement opportunities
-
Contribute to a collaborative, high-quality, and inclusive engineering culture
Qualifications
-
Previous experience within a large-scale omnichannel web frontend environment (ING experience highly preferred for fast onboarding)
-
5+ years of frontend software development experience in enterprise environments
-
Proven experience contributing to or maintaining shared frontend libraries or platforms (platform engineering mindset, not only feature development)

Hands-on experience using AI tools in software development (e.g. GitHub Copilot)

Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience solving complex frontend challenges
-
Solid understanding of modern frontend architecture patterns

Experience with frameworks such as Lit, React, Vue, Angular, or similar
-
Strong understanding of web accessibility and frontend performance optimisation
-
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and complex Git workflows (minimum 3 years with Azure DevOps)
-
Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum and/or Kanban)
-
Strong communication skills and fluency in English
Nice to have

Experience in regulated industries (e.g. banking, utilities, insurance)

Familiarity with SAFe Agile
