As a UAV Maintenance & Repair Technician at DeltaQuad, you are responsible for ensuring the operational readiness and reliability of our UAV systems. You diagnose technical issues, perform repairs, and make sure every system meets the highest quality standards before deployment.
You play a key role in maintaining mission-critical systems and support both internal teams and customers with your technical expertise. Your work directly contributes to the performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of our products in real-world environments.
Key tasks and responsibilities
Maintenance & Repair
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair UAV systems (airframes, avionics, propulsion, payloads)
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and system checks
Replace components such as motors, ESCs, sensors, GPS modules, and other subsystems
Perform firmware updates, calibrations, and system configurations
Conduct functional testing and flight readiness checks after repairs
Service Center Operations
Manage incoming and outgoing repair cases and service requests
Maintain accurate service records, repair reports, and documentation
Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of UAV systems and components
Maintain tools, test equipment, and workspace organization
Support spare parts management and inventory tracking
Quality & Reliability
Ensure all repairs meet DeltaQuad quality standards and safety requirements
Identify recurring issues and provide feedback to engineering teams
Contribute to continuous improvement of repair processes and service workflows
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and aviation safety standards
Support & Collaboration
Provide technical support to internal teams (operations, training, customer support)
Assist in preparing systems for demos, training, and deployments
Support root cause analysis and failure investigations
Collaborate with engineering on product updates and improvements
What you bring
Must-haves
Hands-on experience with UAV systems, electronics, and mechanical repair
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Experience with tools, soldering, and electronic components
Structured and detail-oriented way of working
Proactive mindset
Proficient in English (spoken and written)
Based within commuting distance of Amsterdam (maximum 45 minutes)
Nice-to-haves
Experience with fixed-wing or VTOL UAV systems
Background in avionics, electronics, or aerospace engineering
Experience in a service or repair environment
Familiarity with flight controllers and UAV software (e.g. PX4, ArduPilot)
Experience with quality control or testing procedures
