As a Certification Engineer at Victron Energy, you help ensure our products meet international safety, EMC, radio, environmental, and sustainability requirements. You work closely with colleagues from Hardware, Software, Supplier Quality, EMS, Product Management, and R&D to bring compliant products to markets around the world.
Your responsibilities include:

Managing certification activities for electrical and electronic products.

Coordinating testing and certification projects with external laboratories and certification bodies.

Reviewing technical documentation, schematics, bills of materials (BOMs), test reports, and compliance evidence.

Assessing product modifications and determining their impact on existing certifications.

Preparing and maintaining technical files, declarations of conformity, and certification documentation.
-
Supporting conformity assessments, risk analyses, and regulatory reviews.
-
Ensuring products are correctly labeled and meet applicable regulatory requirements.

Monitoring changes in regulations and standards and translating them into practical actions for product teams.

Advising engineering teams throughout the product development process on compliance requirements.

You will also support environmental and sustainability compliance, including REACH, RoHS, POPs, TSCA, PFAS, California Proposition 65, and responsible sourcing requirements.

You may be a great fit if you have:

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

Approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in product certification, regulatory compliance, conformity assessment, or a similar role.

Experience with electrical or electronic products.

Knowledge of product compliance, regulatory compliance, and conformity assessment processes.

Experience with CE marking, EMC, product safety, RED, testing, and certification activities.

Familiarity with international standards such as IEC, EN, ISO, and UL.

Experience reviewing technical documentation, interpreting test reports and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with laboratories, certification bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Experience gained at certification bodies, testing laboratories, notified bodies, accreditation organisations, or manufacturers with established compliance programs is highly valued.
