The Just Eat Takeaway Order Service Team is looking for Junior Software Engineers to join our Fintech Services department. As part of an agile team, you will collaborate with world-class engineers to design and implement innovative software solutions.
In this dynamic, fast-paced environment, you will work on our core services, public APIs, internal processes, and critical system integrations. You will gain valuable hands-on experience while contributing to technologies that impact over 98 million active users worldwide.

Develop scalable enterprise solutions using .NET technology, aiming high to build ultra-fast, high-performance APIs.
Collaborate with product managers, QA specialists, and developers to design and implement new features and products.
Troubleshoot and resolve bugs effectively, ensuring the stability and high quality of existing core fintech products.
Document design decisions and architectural approaches to ensure technical clarity and continuous improvement across the platform.
Work closely with QA and Support teams to address technical issues, enhance overall product quality, and provide post-launch support.
Participate actively in peer code reviews to maintain high coding standards and drive engineering excellence.
Create and execute comprehensive unit and integration tests to build robust, reliable, and secure software applications.
Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, utilizing data and tech to elevate the customer ordering experience.
Collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders, helping one another succeed while driving innovation and team goals.
Basic knowledge of C# and the .NET framework to build reliable software solutions.
Familiarity with database systems, such as MySQL or DynamoDB, to manage data effectively.
Solid understanding of version control systems, specifically Git, to collaborate safely on codebase changes.
Awareness of modern containerization tools, such as Docker, to support cloud-native deployment.
Exposure to Agile methodologies, like Scrum or Kanban, with a mindset geared toward iterative delivery.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a focus on mutual support, respect, and clear collaboration.
Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow within a collaborative, fast-moving engineering environment.
A proactive, results-driven attitude with a desire to take ownership of your code and celebrate team wins.
