What your role entails
You ensure that our test strategy is not only documented, but also broadly supported and consistently applied across Akkuro Lending.
You oversee the existing QA and test strategy across the different teams and adapt it when developments require it. You build and maintain support for the chosen approach and actively communicate why we make certain choices around quality, testing and automation.
You help teams identify risks and testing priorities and ensure alignment around releases and complex changes. You work closely with developers, testers, product owners and other specialists, without taking over the teams’ ownership of quality.
During customer implementations, you also take on a coordinating role towards the customer. You establish clear agreements on the joint testing approach, responsibilities, acceptance criteria and release readiness, and ensure that issues and dependencies are identified in good time.
When an implementation involves data migration, you help shape the testing and validation approach. You ensure that we not only establish whether the data has been technically migrated, but also whether it is complete, accurate and usable in the new environment.
You also have a coordinating role in load and performance testing. Together with technical specialists and the customer, you define relevant scenarios, volumes and requirements, and ensure that results are assessed and followed up where necessary.
Finally, you use insights from bugs, regressions, production issues and customer implementations to initiate structural improvements. In this way, you help further professionalize quality assurance within Akkuro Lending.
What you bring as a QA Lead
You are able to approach quality from both a technical and an organizational perspective. You don’t need to execute every test yourself, but you understand software development and testing well enough to identify risks, ask the right questions, and bring people together around a shared approach.
You bring:
- Several years of experience in software testing, QA or quality engineering
- Experience in a lead, coordinating or senior QA role
- The ability to build support and bring teams along with changes related to quality
- Experience with test automation and making conscious choices between automated and manual testing
- Experience with APIs, integrations and complex business processes
- Experience with or knowledge of testing and validating data migrations
- Knowledge of load and performance testing and the ability to coordinate these activities
- Experience with customer-facing software implementations and aligning testing activities with external stakeholders
- A pragmatic mindset: improving quality without unnecessarily slowing down development or delivery
- An affinity with financial services, lending or other business-critical software.
Experience in lending or banking is a clear advantage, but not a hard requirement. The ability to communicate effectively in both Dutch and English, both verbally and in writing, is essential for this position.
