The Role
As our Office Manager, you'll play a central role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our Amsterdam office. This is a varied position that combines financial, administrative, and organizational responsibilities, giving you the opportunity to work across different areas of the business.
You'll be responsible for supporting the financial administration of our Amsterdam office while working closely with Milliman's Finance team in Paris. You'll also provide practical and administrative support to our consultants, including preparing invoices, onboarding new clients, and assisting with a variety of HR-related activities.
Your organised and structured approach will help ensure that our internal processes run smoothly, administrative tasks are completed efficiently, and colleagues have the support they need. In this role, you'll make a direct contribution to the efficient running of our office and the high standard of service we provide to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage the accounts receivable and accounts payable administration.
· Organise and coordinate HR-related activities.
· Prepare internal financial reports and balance sheets.
· Support the preparation of VAT returns.
· Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes.
· Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, clients, and internal teams.
What We're Looking For
· Bachelor's degree (HBO level or equivalent) in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
· Experience working with a range of financial software packages.
· Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office suite.
· A solid understanding of accounting principles and relevant legislation and regulations.
· Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English, written and spoken.
· An analytical, accurate, and proactive approach, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
· Available to work a minimum of 32 hours per week.
