As our new Software Integration Developer, you will develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and integration services that support critical processes across Abacus Medicine Group.
Working with Microsoft Azure and the .NET ecosystem, you will design solutions that enable reliable communication between systems and applications. You will also contribute to technical design discussions and architectural decisions, combining hands-on development with a broader view of our system landscape.
Developing and maintaining backend applications, APIs, and integration services
Designing secure, scalable, and maintainable solutions aligned with our platform architecture and integration standards
Building and supporting APIs that enable reliable communication between systems and business applications
Developing reusable backend services and integration components
Working with databases and cloud-native services to ensure performance, reliability, and data integrity
Participating in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions
Collaborating with developers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions
Monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuously improving business-critical applications and integrations
Contributing to development standards, shared technical assets, and best practices
Supporting knowledge sharing and mentoring less experienced colleagues
Backend: .NET, C#, SQL, and Cosmos DB
Integration: REST APIs, SOAP, Azure Service Bus, API Management, and Logic Apps
Cloud: Microsoft Azure, including App Services and Function Apps
Security: OAuth2 and JWT
DevOps: Azure DevOps CI/CD and ARM Templates/Bicep
Methodology: Agile
You have a strong background in backend and integration development, combining hands-on technical expertise with an architectural mindset. You translate business requirements into robust solutions, collaborate effectively across technical and business teams, and take a structured, proactive approach to improving systems and ways of working.
A Master's or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
Approximately 5 years of experience developing backend applications, APIs, and integrations
Solid experience with .NET, C#, SQL, and Microsoft Azure
Experience designing scalable, maintainable, and secure backend solutions in cloud environments
Experience with Azure services such as App Services, Function Apps, Logic Apps, API Management, and Service Bus
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment tooling, preferably Azure DevOps
Familiarity with integration patterns, event-driven architectures, distributed systems, and microservices
Strong communication skills and professional proficiency in English
You will join our growing Integrations & Power Platform team, with developers based in Denmark, the Netherlands, and Hungary. The team develops and maintains integrations, backend services, and business-critical platforms across the organisation.
You will collaborate with Digital Application teams, Operations, QA, business stakeholders, and external software vendors and technology partners. Knowledge sharing and technical collaboration are central to the team, and you will have the opportunity to influence how we design and develop our solutions.
