Would you like to work part-time as an Administrative Secretary supporting and advising the Works Council of the Social Sciences Group (SSG) at Wageningen University & Research (WUR)? As Administrative Secretary, you are a permanent point of contact for council members and an indispensable link in ensuring effective employee participation. In this position, you will work closely with the Executive Committee of the Works Council and serve as the liaison with management.
The SSG Works Council consists of 13 members and represents nearly 1,200 colleagues working within the group. The working language of the Works Council alternates between Dutch and English. Documents are prepared in both Dutch and English, or sometimes exclusively in English.

Organizing, preparing, and taking minutes for internal Works Council meetings, Executive Committee meetings, and consultation meetings with SSG management.

Supporting the Works Council in drafting advisory opinions and consent decisions, and handling correspondence with management.

Monitoring processes, (statutory) procedures, deadlines, and staying informed about relevant developments in legislation and regulations; overseeing relationships and working agreements within the Works Council and with management.

Co-organizing the introduction of new council members and initiating and organizing training programs for council members.
You possess strong organizational awareness, a confident personality, and creativity. You are also trustworthy, decisive, and have excellent communication skills. These qualities enable you to thrive in a dynamic environment and take initiative.

HBO (University of Applied Sciences) or WO (Research University) level of working and thinking.

demonstrable affinity with management and process support;

Strong organizational skills.

Preferably experience as a secretary (particularly an administrative secretary) and/or experience working with a Works Council.

Good written and spoken communication skills in both Dutch and English, with at least a B2 level proficiency.

We offer, depending on your experience, a competitive gross salary of between €3.231,- and €4.929,- for a full-time working week of 36 hours, in accordance with the CLA Wageningen Research (scale 9). This position is for 12 hours. We initially offer a one-year contract, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and depending on the organisation’s financial situation.
