Wat houdt de functie in?

This position is crucial for our strategy to stabilize and expand our team's capabilities. Alongside this lead role, we intend to collaborate with external suppliers on a project basis. As the Lead Engineer, you will not only promote technical excellence but also oversee supplier relationships—defining work packages, setting collaboration standards, and evaluating supplier performance.

You will be integrated into a scrum team comprising three full-time engineers and work closely with a part-time architect, product owner, scrum master, and cloud engineer. Your role will be instrumental in solution design, integration development, and providing technical leadership.

Drive the creation of strong, secure, and efficient integrations on Azure.
Work closely with business stakeholders to collect and refine requirements.
Collaborate with architects to challenge and co-develop solutions.
Provide guidance and mentorship to fellow engineers on best practices and software hygiene.
Oversee external suppliers: outline work packages, uphold collaboration standards, and ensure delivery quality.
Play a key role in advancing our DevSecOps practices and architecture in line with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF).
Assist in the assessment and deployment of our upcoming portal platform.

Wie zoeken wij?

Demonstrated leadership in software integration projects.
Extensive expertise in Azure integration services (Logic Apps, API Management, Functions, etc.).
Proficiency in middleware platforms (Oracle Fusion, Mulesoft, Spring Boot).
Comprehensive understanding of security, performance optimization, and scalable architecture principles.
Adaptable Agile mindset with a track record in Scrum environments.
Outstanding communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Skilled in C# within the.NET Framework, and/or other programming languages like Java or Python.
Thorough knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns and their practical application.
Practical experience with CI/CD practices and tools for efficient and secure deployment pipelines.
Accustomed to version control systems such as Git, with a commitment to collaborative development practices.
Experienced in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly with Terraform.
Proven capability in collaborating with or overseeing external development partners or suppliers.
Familiarity with automated testing methodologies.
