The Senior Key Account Manager Netherlands is responsible for managing and developing relationships with strategic key accounts, building c-suite relationships ultimately driving sales growth through competitive wins and business retention. Ensuring customer satisfaction, this role requires a strong understanding of the Dutch diagnostics market, excellent relationship-building skills as well as proven project management skills for complex, multi-site projects, and the ability to develop tailored solutions to meet the unique needs of our key clients
This position reports to the Strategic Manager Netherlands & Nordics and is part of the broader UK, Ireland, Netherlands & Nordics Cluster. The role will be based remotely in the Netherlands.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Consistently achieve and exceed sales and revenue targets across the Netherlands by protecting and expanding existing business, strengthening customer partnerships, and successfully displacing competitive solutions within the country.
Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify high-value opportunities, build a sustainable long-term pipeline, and position Beckman Coulter for accelerated growth through regional and national tender success.
Establish and maintain trusted relationships with key decision-makers and influencers, including C-suite executives, laboratory directors, healthcare professionals, procurement leaders, and other senior stakeholders, driving executive-level engagement and strategic collaboration.
Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities within both existing and prospective accounts, driving menu expansion, adoption of innovative diagnostic solutions, and increased market penetration.
Drive complex sales cycles and multi country tender processes from opportunity identification through negotiation, contract award, project management and implementation, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Technology, Business, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, MSc, or equivalent) preferred.
Demonstrated success in strategic account management within the diagnostics and more specifically in IVD with a proven track record of delivering sustained revenue growth, winning complex opportunities, and achieving commercial objectives. Experience managing complex tender processes and contract negotiations.
Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and influence decision-making at all organizational levels, including C-suite executives and key opinion leaders.
Strategic thinker with strong business planning capabilities, able to identify growth opportunities, develop and execute account strategies, manage complex sales cycles, and successfully navigate regional and national tender processes.
Fluency in English & Dutch
