Job Opportunity: Senior API Integration Developer

What do you need?

API Integration Experience. A whole bunch of it. As an Integration Developer you contribute to the positioning of API’s and the further growth of the API integration within your team. You work closely with the Product Owner and the Business Analyst to define the API needs of stakeholders and translate them into user stories and acceptance criteria. You work together with the development team to integrate and publish data sources and processes securely and quickly. You act as Technical Lead and from this role you guide and develop the team members substantively and you stimulate the Agile mindset. The publishing of API’s takes place through the API platform consisting of Microsoft Azure technology, IBM Websphere MQ, Vertex and Swaggerhub.

The API team has the vision to offer all API’s to the requesting development teams via one portal and thereby contribute to: strengthening cooperation, accelerating innovation, connecting employees, customers, partners and assets.

You love to talk about API integration and its technology and you’re not afraid to do this for a crowd as well. Furthermore, you’re willing to travel, you’re a team player and you have a structural approach. You take initiative and you’re creative in solving problems.

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Integration Developer you’ll make use of your knowledge and experience in every possible way. This includes API development, managing one or more projects, support with defining and scheduling features, user stories and acceptance criteria, supervise and develop team members substantively, advising, designing, documenting and analysing secure API’s, Publish API’s in a uniform manner via the API platform, promoting API’s and creating an internal API community, preparation of the API strategy and design patterns, coordinate frameworks with architects and security specialists.p>

In the remaining hours, you’ll be guiding our Juniors to become awesome devs and you’ll work on our Open Source (Xamarin) components when necessary. And of course, you’ll also spend time keeping yourself up-to-date with everything that’s related to software development.

In this position you’ll have the freedom to work wherever you want, to explore new programming languages, and to actively contribute to our continuous improvement by sharing your ideas.
