About the Role:
The Director of Project Management - EMEA Consumer Audio is responsible for the regional coordination of project requests and execution, for Consumer Audio. This person will keep projects on track for Consumer Audio EMEA, supporting the VP & GM, EMEA for Consumer Audio SBU. The PMO ensures projects are developed to the highest standards, in coordination with regional, divisional and corporate goals, in close collaboration with the wider global functions. In addition the role is part of the EMEA consumer Management Team.
This role reports to the VP & GM, EMEA - Consumer Audio SBUand will include supervision of 1 senior project manager, 3 Project Managers, 1 process Improvement Manager and 1 (senior) Specialist Project & Program Management.
What You Will Do:

Lead a team of 6 Project and Process management professionals, ensuring projects and programs are developed and executed to meet their envisioned scope, schedule, budget and quality.

Partner with requesting departments, EMEA and Global leadership to create a common vision of organizational and regional priorities.

Maintain a governance system to centrally build and develop the project portfolio. This includes project intake, assessment and execution, as well as a forum for effective escalation of potential issues, obstacles, conflicts or challenges.

Support in the development of a rolling 18 month project roadmap, assign project managers and monitor project schedules.

Receive direction from Commercial and Global leadership regarding future direction, technologies and requirements to ensure regional projects are aligned with business needs.

Take a leading role in preparing for shifts in technologies and market trends that will impact the EMEA organization, as informed by Commercial leadership and supporting functions.

Resolve project management resource conflicts in cooperation with appropriate managers.
-
Coordinate feasibility assessments for new initiatives, including cost, schedules, capabilities, resource availability, and contractual obligations for proposal development.

Identify barriers to project success, negotiate through barriers with major stakeholders to keep progress on track.

Ensure country & regional needs are captured, developed and communicated.

Gathers lessons learned with project teams to review project success and areas requiring improvement for future projects and services.

In collaboration with Director of Project Management Consumer Audio, adopt industry-recognized, best-in-class PMO and project management standards; tools and resources.

Maintain PMO policies, processes, and procedures.

Develops capabilities of regional Subject Matter Experts by means of training, coaching, group/individual meetings and discussion to improve the quality of project work.
What You Need to Be Succesful:
-
At least 10 years of related business experience (project manager and/or equivalent).
-
Demonstrated leadership of a project/program management function practicing proactive, integrated project execution, application development, and partnering for business success.
-
Demonstrated experience in building the processes, metrics, controls, and governance necessary to build a balanced portfolio of well-managed projects and programs that deliver business value.
-
Demonstrated understanding and related experience with major program management methodologies.
-
Excellent project management skills, including ability to execute and prioritize a number of tasks simultaneously, and experience managing cross-functional teams.
-
Experience working with distributed global teams in a matrix structure.
-
Change Management experience
-
Experience in initiating, conducting and facilitating discussions with multiple stakeholders, and ability to translate the results and issues at hand to the business and to the IT teams.

Bachelors’ degree(s) in Business or related area. Masters degree preferred.

IT skills - Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products; proficiency with Microsoft Project, ability to learn new software packages quickly.

Certifications - Project Management Institute (PMI), Project Management or Professional (PMP) certification.
