StudyGo (formerly WRTS) is the go-to online platform for secondary school students to prepare for exams. From vocabulary practice and assignments to chatting with tutors and attending group lessons, we offer a comprehensive toolkit to help students succeed. With over 650,000 annual users, StudyGo has become one of the key digital platforms for secondary education.
Futurewhiz is growing, and we’re looking for a Senior Financial Controller who thrives where accuracy, ownership and improvement come together.
You are here to help us build a strong and scalable financial foundation for the next chapter of our growth story.
You will take ownership of our financial accounting and reporting, ensuring that our numbers are accurate, compliant and delivered on time. While you will keep our financial foundations rock-solid, your real impact will be in strengthening controls, improving processes and helping the Finance team work smarter and more effectively.

Lead the monthly and annual closing processes.

Oversee the quality of journal entries, balance-sheet reconciliations and financial statements, with a focus on material and complex areas.

Ensure accurate and compliant IFRS reporting to our shareholders.

Lead the year-end audit and coordinate external auditors.

Coordinate with tax advisors and ensure tax compliance by providing complete, accurate and timely financial information for tax reporting.

Strengthen internal controls and improve financial processes.

Use automation and AI to reduce manual work and improve reporting quality.
We’re looking for an experienced financial professional who combines strong technical accounting knowledge with a practical and collaborative mindset. You take ownership of the closing process, work accurately and know how to prioritise material issues.
You should also resonate with the following qualities:

You have a relevant bachelor’s or master’s degree.

You have at least five years of relevant experience in finance, accounting or audit.

You are experienced in leading monthly and year-end closing processes.

You have strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting.

You can independently assess complex accounting matters.

You are highly proficient in Excel and comfortable working with financial systems.

You have experience improving or automating financial processes.

You communicate confidently with senior stakeholders, auditors and external advisors.

You are fluent in English (Dutch is a plus).
Bonus points if you have:

An RA, RC, ACCA or comparable qualification.

M&A experience including purchase accounting or post-acquisition integration

A gross monthly salary of € 5500 - € 6200 (based on 40 hours, depending on experience)
