Job Description:

Seeking a customer-oriented receptionist to join our team! We are a 2-star boutique hotel in the heart of Amsterdam and looking for someone who can greet our guests with a smile, answer phone calls with enthusiasm, and keep the reception running smoothly. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is a people person, enjoys wearing multiple hats, and is flexible to work mornings, afternoons and the occasional night shift. Hotel experience is preferred and training is paid.

Key responsibilities:

Greet guests as they arrive and assist with check-in and check-out procedures
Process reservations and cancellations in our hotel software
Facilitate and coordinate guest requests and needs
Answer phone calls and respond to emails and other forms of communication in a timely manner
Resolve any issues or complaints that guests may have in a timely and professional manner
Assist with the breakfast service and lobby sales
Maintain a tidy and organized front of house area
Proactively resolve ad hoc tasks that can pop up during shifts

Requirements:

Currently living in Amsterdam
Have a BSN and work permit (if applicable) in the Netherlands
Flexible to work morning and afternoon shifts (including weekends and public holidays), and the occasional night shift
Solid experience in a customer service role and preferably hotels
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Fluent in English (written and oral) is a must and Dutch would be a bonus
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Experience with hotel property management software is a big plus
