Where You’ll Make a Difference

Characterize a focused library of alpha-amylase enzymes under various experimental conditions.
Evaluate enzyme performance across different pH and temperature ranges.
Investigate the impact of individual and combined mutations on enzyme functionality and stability.
Perform substrate specificity studies using starch and related polysaccharides.
Analyze reaction products to determine enzyme product profiles and hydrolysis patterns.
Design, execute, and document laboratory experiments following established protocols and safety standards.
Process, interpret, and present experimental data to support scientific decision-making.
Collaborate with scientists and researchers to discuss findings and propose next steps for enzyme development.
Contribute to technical reports and project presentations summarizing results and insights.

What Makes You the Right Fit

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related scientific discipline.
Strong interest in enzyme technology, protein engineering, or industrial biotechnology.
Basic understanding of enzymology and biochemical characterization techniques.
Experience working in a laboratory environment through coursework, projects, or previous internships.
Ability to accurately record, analyze, and interpret experimental data.
Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and analytical techniques.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
