Butta la Pasta is a fresh pasta and wine bar focused on quality ingredients, simple execution, and honest Italian cooking. We work with fresh pasta made in-house, seasonal products, and a service style that is fast-paced but detail-driven.

Role Overview

As a Demi Chef de Partie, you support the Chef de Partie in running a specific section of the kitchen. You are responsible for consistent execution, prep organisation, and maintaining high standards during service.

This is a hands-on role suited for someone looking to grow within a professional kitchen environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesKitchen Operations

Assist in managing a designated section (e.g. pasta, prep, or garnish)
Prepare and cook dishes according to Butta la Pasta standards
Ensure consistency, quality, and presentation of all dishes
Support mise en place and daily prep production
Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation

Service

Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining quality
Communicate clearly with the kitchen team and front of house
Follow service flow and ticket management as directed

Food Safety & Hygiene

Follow HACCP and hygiene standards at all times
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment and work areas

Team Contribution

Support junior team members where needed
Maintain a positive, professional attitude during service
Be reliable, punctual, and proactive

Requirements

Previous experience in a professional kitchen (1–2 years preferred)
Basic knowledge of Italian cuisine (fresh pasta experience is a plus)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and organisation
Team player with good communication skills
Flexible availability (evenings and weekends required)
