What you’ll do
The Land Logistics Specialist will support the development and implementation of a global land logistics strategy for Nutreco. The role focuses on creating structure, standardising ways of working and identifying opportunities to simplify, digitise and automate land logistics processes across Nutreco’s Business Units and local OpCos. Working closely with internal stakeholders, local logistics teams and external logistics service providers, the Land Logistics Specialist will help improve cost efficiency, service reliability, supplier performance, sustainability and process transparency.
As Land Logistics Specialist, you will support the development and execution of Nutreco's land logistics strategy by driving standardization, process improvement, supplier performance, and sustainability initiatives. Working closely with Business Units, local OpCos, and logistics partners, you will help optimize transportation operations through sourcing support, KPI management, automation and digitalization projects, and the implementation of best practices. You will also contribute to change management efforts, ensuring the adoption of new processes and tools while maintaining compliance with procurement standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

You’ll also need the following required qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent working experience.
Relevant experience in logistics, transport procurement, supply chain operations or continuous improvement.
Good understanding of land transportation, carrier management, freight processes and logistics performance drivers.
Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into practical improvement actions.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in an international or matrix environment.
Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Ability to structure complex topics and drive progress with stakeholders across different locations and cultures.
Preferred Skills
Experience with transport management systems, ERP systems, freight platforms, Power BI, Excel or other reporting tools.
Experience with process standardisation, automation, Lean, continuous improvement or project management.
Knowledge of logistics sourcing, contract management and supplier performance management.
Understanding of sustainability in transport, including CO₂ reporting, modal shift opportunities and low-emission logistics solutions.
Experience working with OpCos, Business Units or regional supply chain teams.
