To strengthen our operations and support our future growth ambitions, including the realization of a new production facility in the near future, we are looking for a Junior Production Manager who can grow into the role of Production Manager and take over this responsibility in the near future when the current Production Manager retires.
Junior Production Manager
As Junior Production Manager, you will work alongside the current Production Manager and gradually take on wider responsibility for the daily management of our production operations. You will be involved in planning, team coordination, operational performance, quality, food safety, and continuous improvement.This is a hands-on management role in which you combine leadership with a strong presence on the production floor. You understand what happens in the daily operation, guide and support employees where needed, and help translate operational challenges into practical and lasting improvements.
Key Responsibilities
Supporting and gradually taking responsibility for the daily management of production operations
· Leading, coaching, and supporting production employees and team leaders on the shop floor
· Ensuring that production planning, staffing, and daily priorities are aligned with operational targets
· Monitoring production output, efficiency, stock levels, and key operational indicators
· Delivering basic cost calculations and post-calculations for production lines
· Maintaining a strong presence on the production floor to identify issues, guide employees, and support practical problem-solving
· Coordinating with logistics, quality, maintenance, and management to keep daily operations running smoothly
· Ensuring compliance with HACCP, IFS, hygiene, safety, and quality standards
· Driving continuous improvement initiatives in productivity, workflow, quality, and operational efficiency
· Participating in management discussions and translating decisions into clear actions for the production team
· Supporting change projects related to growth, process development, and the future production facility
· Building the knowledge and leadership skills required to take over the Production Manager role in the near future

Your Profile
· At least 5 years of experience in a production environment, preferably within food manufacturing and with initial leadership responsibilities
· HBO work and thinking level
· Hands-on mentality with natural leadership skills
· Knowledge of food safety and quality systems (HACCP / IFS)
· Flexible and resilient in a seasonal business environment
· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
· Accurate, responsible, and quality-oriented
· Affinity with working in a family-owned business
· Good command of Dutch or English
· Polish language skills are considered an advantage
· Willingness to travel temporarily to one of our international locations for training and knowledge transfer
· Technical affinity and understanding of construction-related projects is a plus

· Permanent full-time employment (41 hours per week) with high and low seasons.
