The MSc Strategic Management programme at Tilburg University is looking for a highly organized and proactive student assistant to support the Academic Director, starting August 17, 2026. We are looking for a student who enjoys organizing, has an exceptional eye for detail, and takes pride in delivering high-quality work. The position offers a great deal of variety and responsibility, with flexible working hours that will be determined in consultation.
Your position
As student assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day management of the MSc Strategic Management programme. Your responsibilities include:
- Organising and coordinating events, such as graduation ceremonies and open days
- Helping design professional event materials, presentations, and communications
- Organising meetings, preparing agendas, and taking accurate meeting minutes
- Providing administrative and organisational support to the Academic Director
- Facilitating and designing kick-off sessions for new entrants
- Supporting small educational development projects where needed
- Managing the programme's LinkedIn presence and supporting communication activities
- Managing and updating the programme's Canvas environment
Your profile
What we are looking for:
- You are enrolled as a student at Tilburg University and have obtained at least 60 ECTS in a university bachelor's program or are following a master's program.
- Is available for at least one academic year (August 2026 – June 2027)
- Is exceptionally well organised and has excellent attention to detail
- Works independently, takes initiative, and follows through on tasks
- Enjoys organising events and coordinating multiple activities simultaneously
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Is proficient with Microsoft Office, Teams, LinkedIn, and Canvas
- Can maintain confidentiality and handle information carefully
- Is interested in improving processes and finding practical solutions
What do we offer?
Tilburg University offers excellent benefits in a pleasant working environment:
- Employment of 0.2 fte.
- Salary between €3084 and €3141 gross per month for full-time employment (profile Student Assistant, salary scale SA). Salary depending on the ECTS attained.
- You will receive a temporary contract for the duration of 10 months.
- Vacation pay of 8% and a year-end bonus of 8.3%.
- More than 8 weeks of vacation leave.
- If you don’t have student grants, reimbursement for sustainable commuting: walking, cycling and public transportation.
