How you contribute in your role
You like to take the lead in developing, implementing, maintaining, supporting and rolling-out the manufacturing data architecture. You are the owner of the architecture and its technical components, like data warehouses, business intelligence applications, cloud components and digital twin applications.
With the data architecture as a basis, you work with great enthusiasm to develop innovations to support use cases in line with business requirements. Your analytic and predictive models will be used to further optimize the production process in order to improve quality, delivery and efficiency.
In order to continuously improve the capabilities in the area of data analytics and data science, you are an expert in collecting and analyzing business requirements and translating this into functional and technical requirements and effective solutions, as well as managing the change process around it.
You will be working closely together with the Production Competence Center, which is developing, maintaining and rolling-out Elopak’s Manufacturing Execution System, as well as with stakeholders in Production, Quality and IT departments.

In your role as a Data Scientist / Engineer you are forward leaning and analytical. You have a good dose of curiosity and you have the energy to learn a lot at a fast pace. You are ambitious and pro-active when it comes to working with large and complex data streams, and the technologies required for this. You are accurate, organized and able to work under pressure. Manufacturing operations is relying on your solution. You have a hands-on mentality and you enjoy to work within multi-disciplinary teams. You support and challenge your colleagues with data analysis and data science initiatives.
Job requirements
- A completed Bachelor / Master program in a quantitative discipline, preferably in IT technology / Data Science.
- Excellent knowledge of data management, database technology, business intelligence and data science technologies.
- Experience with Industry 4.0 / IIoT technology.
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders.
- Good English skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel a few times a year to our other Elopak locations.

- Salary range: €4,457 - €6,044 per month, depending on knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Competitive salary based on experience;
- 25 days of vacation, with the option to buy/sell 5 additional days of vacation (based on 36 hours);
