Long-term Project | Banking | Amsterdam (Hybrid)
A Medior Data Analyst / Data Modeler, who will act as the bridge between business and technology. You will analyse business requirements, translate them into scalable data solutions, validate data quality, and ensure data products meet both business and regulatory expectations.
You will take ownership of multiple workstreams simultaneously while collaborating closely with business experts, architects, engineers, and product owners.
Gather, analyse, and translate business and data requirements into scalable solutions.
Analyse credit and collateral data using SQL to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Design, maintain, and improve conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
Identify data gaps and improve the Credit Data Domain Store (CDDS).
Create and maintain data mappings, transformation logic, and documentation.
Validate ETL processes and perform data testing, including unit, regression, and acceptance testing.
Support production issue investigations by analysing SQL queries and reading Python code where required.
Collaborate with architects to ensure scalable, compliant, and future-proof data solutions.
Maintain data lineage and support data governance activities.
Work closely with business stakeholders to improve data quality and optimise business processes.
Support the delivery of reliable data products that enable reporting, analytics, and AI use cases.
Contribute ideas to continuously improve the product, delivery process, and overall ways of working.
You bring proven experience as a Data Analyst, Business Data Analyst, Information Analyst, or Data Modeler, preferably within the banking or financial services sector.
You have experience working with credit, lending, or collateral data and understand how high-quality data supports business operations, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
Strong SQL skills, including joins, aggregations, filtering, and complex queries.
Experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
Experience with ETL validation and data quality testing.
Strong understanding of data mapping and data lineage.
Familiarity with Databricks or similar modern data platforms.
Basic understanding of Python for analysing or debugging existing code.
Experience working with JSON is advantageous.
Experience in one or more of the following areas is highly desirable:
Knowledge of collateral registration, valuation, monitoring, and reporting processes is considered a strong advantage.
