About the role

Today's world runs on IT. Customers, employees and citizens must be able to rely on extensive, complex landscapes of IT systems everywhere. As a Junior IT Auditor, you will contribute to building and maintain this trust.

Stepping into the role of a Junior IT Auditor at DNV means joining a close-knit team where every day brings a new challenge and a new learning opportunity. You'll collaborate with experienced colleagues, visiting diverse clients and gaining exposure to different IT environments each week. It’s a role designed for growth, where learning never stops, and curiosity is your greatest asset.

In this position, you’ll dive into various aspects of information security auditing. You’ll evaluate and test the IT infrastructures of our clients, identifying areas for improvement. Your job will take you to different sites, where you’ll meet and interact with people at all levels, from IT staff to top management. You’ll gather insights, share your findings, and provide recommendations that help clients enhance the reliability and performance of their IT systems. Each experience adds to your skill set, preparing you for a rewarding career in IT auditing.

Location: Barendrecht, Netherlands. All locations within the Netherlands will be considered.

About you

You’re close to finishing, or have just completed, your bachelor’s degree, laying a solid foundation for your career. Your educational journey has sharpened your analytical skills and prepared you to dive into the world of IT auditing. You’re naturally curious and eager to learn, absorbing new information quickly and adapting to different environments with enthusiasm.

In your interactions, you’re an active listener who easily connects with people, making you a trusted partner for clients and colleagues alike. You enjoy asking the critical questions that uncover deeper insights, and your analytical mindset allows you to see beyond the surface. Communication is your strong suit; you express yourself clearly and effectively in Dutch, and preferably in English, making complex information accessible to everyone you work with.

Business Assurance is a unit of DNV where we are working with our customers towards verifying them if they are compliant with some particular rules. We are responsible for scheduling audits. We need to assign the right person with the right competences to conduct such an audit. And we are analysing and improving their processes. But sometimes we need to register some findings like observation, opportunity for improvement, or even non-conformities. I verify our clients' system management by observing them, how they work, how they produce. It's very interesting because we are delivering some additional information for our customers, what they cannot see or discover in their own systems. My work life as an auditor is completely different than employees who are working from the office every day. Because usually I'm travelling to our customers that are located in a different part of our country. Almost every week I work with different people in different companies. So if you like travel, if you are well organized, DNV can be for you.
