Themed Entertainment – Project Manager

Adirondack Studios (ADKS), a global leader in the design, build, and installation of themed entertainment spaces and experiences, is seeking additional Project Managers to support the North American Project Delivery team. As a Project Manager, you’ll manage and own assigned projects with a focus on field operations, and an eye toward efficient, successful, and service-minded project delivery. This includes management of internal processes and project stakeholders, as well as external vendor and client relations to ensure project and partnership success. Projects may last anywhere from a few weeks to several months.
With a combined space of 260,000 sf. in production facilities in upstate New York, Orlando and Dubai, as well as support facilities and offices in Pasadena, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Singapore and Shanghai, ADKS’ team of 360 artisans, managers and installers has provided ideation, concept & schematic design, design development, custom fabrication, technical support and installation & commissioning services for some of the world’s biggest amusement and leisure attractions, real estate developments, performance venues, public art, brand experiences and cultural exhibits – over 5,000 projects and counting. What You’ll Do:

Serve as the producer, champion, and driver of the assigned project(s) with a special focus on bringing projects in on time, at or under budget, and at or above the agreed upon level of quality.

Holistic schedule ownership that elicits detail and validation from both internal and external SME’s and remains updated and validated to ensure successful project completion

Holistic management of project budget and cash flow, including cost forecasting, purchase order requests/tracking/close out, invoicing support, and necessary budget re-alignment and updates

Support the definition of, and then upholding, the level of agreed upon deliverables quality of assigned project(s)

Maintain a consistent flow of communication both internally and externally to keep all key stakeholders informed and aware of project issues

Maintain all necessary project logs and reports, allowing for informed and thoughtful management choices across all internal DOW’s

Track potential changes to contracted scope, and supporting the definition, approval, and performance of change order scope

Work collaboratively between Business Development and Accounting to support timely acquisition of letters of agreement, contracts, POs, change orders, etc.

Embrace software and technological innovations; supporting and driving the department’s ongoing pursuit of innovative strategies

Ensure that all project scope, subsequent change orders, and key project phases are properly kicked off and distributed swiftly throughout the company

Evaluate, solicit, engage, and disengage subcontractors, vendors, and non-production personnel as required to expedite project deliverables

Assist Business Development with project ‘planned discovery’ to ensure best project delivery course; including estimation, methodology, and comprehensive project execution plan

Serve as a primary liaison between the Client and ADKS

Coordinate project meetings and reviews with project appropriate personnel. This includes crafting meeting agendas, recording and publishing notes, and identifying/assigning action items

Contribute to executive, staff, and administrative meetings as required

This role offers a starting salary range of $90 – $110k per year. The actual salary rate provided will depend on various factors, including, without limitation, the individual applicant’s qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and, if applicable, the position’s location.
