Salland Engineering is growing fast. As an Application Engineer, you play an important role in developing turnkey test solutions for testing chips on ATE, or Automated Test Equipment. Together with the customer, you define the test strategy and translate chip and customer requirements into a smart, reliable and best fit test solution.
In this role, you work closely with chip designers and product engineers from the world’s largest electronics manufacturers. From the first concept to validation and release to production, you make a direct contribution to test solutions that truly make a difference. Within Salland, you work closely with colleagues in the department and with the PCB design team. You are part of an engineering team where sharing knowledge, making smart choices together and building quality are central. Most of your work will be based at our headquarters in Zwolle, with occasional assignments at customer sites.
What you will be doing in your role

Set up and validate test strategies and methodologies and document this in an Electrical Test Specification (ETS);

Together with a PCB engineer, create hardware schematics for the interface between the ATE and the chip;

Develop turnkey, chip-specific test solutions to run on the ATE for testing ICs in production;

When requested, characterize the chip according to specifications and report the results;

Validate the whole test solution and report the results (GR&R);

Maintain close contact with the customer to discuss interim and final results;

Responsible for planning and report project progress to the Project Manager;

Support colleagues within the engineering team.

An attractive salary, depending on your education and experience, between € 3.311,23 and € 4.730,32gross per month (job scale: Engineer Expert A) based on a 40-hour workweek.

A Bachelor’s degree (HBO) in (embedded) electronics;
