Objective of the position
As Engineering Manager, you will Lead the Hardware and Software Engineering teams in the development of advanced electronic systems for automotive applications, with overall responsibility for delivering high-quality, innovative, and compliant solutions that meet vehicle performance, safety, and regulatory requirements. Drive technical excellence and ensure adherence to industry standards such as ISO 26262 and ASPICE, while fostering strong cross-functional collaboration between Hardware, Software, and other engineering disciplines to achieve successful project outcomes.
Characterization of activities

Lead, manage, and develop a team of Hardware and Software Engineers, including hiring, performance management, coaching, succession planning, and team-building initiatives.

Oversee the design, development, testing, and validation of automotive electronic systems and ECUs, ensuring technical excellence, quality, and on-time delivery.

Manage project planning, resource allocation, budgets, timelines, engineering tools, and department infrastructure to support efficient product development.

Review and approve technical designs, engineering changes, and risk assessments, ensuring compliance with functional safety, cybersecurity, and automotive industry standards.

Act as the key engineering representative in cross-functional teams and external interactions with customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, development methodologies, and tools while fostering innovation, collaboration, and agile ways of working.
Experience and Knowledge

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

10+ years of experience in automotive electronics, including at least 5 years in a leadership role managing Hardware and Software Engineering teams.

Strong expertise in embedded systems, microcontrollers, automotive communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and electronic control unit (ECU) development.

In-depth knowledge of automotive standards and regulations, including Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity frameworks.

Proven track record of successfully leading complex product development projects from concept through validation, industrialization, and production launch.

Excellent leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to drive high-performing engineering teams.
