About the Role
We're looking for a Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of systems at the intersection of
Security and AI. This team builds intelligent systems that proactively detect, prevent, and respond to security and privacy risks across code, data, infrastructure, and AI-powered products.
As a Staff Engineer, you will operate as a technical leader-owning critical architecture, driving complex initiatives end-to-end, and setting the standard for engineering excellence across the team.
- What the Candidate Will Do -
- Lead the architecture and development of large-scale systems for risk detection, classification, and automated remediation
- Drive end-to-end technical initiatives, from problem definition through production deployment and iteration
- Design systems that leverage ML/AI techniques to improve security signal quality, reduce false positives, and scale detection capabilities
- Build and evolve platform capabilities that integrate security signals into developer workflows and infrastructure
- Partner closely with engineers, applied scientists, and product stakeholders to translate ambiguous problems into scalable solutions
Act as a
technical mentor and multiplier, raising the bar for design, code quality, and operational excellence across the team
- Basic Qualifications -
- Strong experience building and scaling distributed systems or platform infrastructure
- Proven ability to lead complex technical projects with significant cross-team dependencies
- Deep expertise in system design, reliability, and performance at scale
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving problem spaces
- Experience working with or alongside ML/AI systems (e.g., classification, anomaly detection, LLM-powered workflows)
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence technical direction beyond your immediate team
- Preferred Qualifications -
- Experience in security, privacy, or trust-related systems
- Familiarity with LLMs or GenAI systems in production
- Background in risk detection, fraud, or anomaly detection systems
