Role: DNB Regulatory Compliance Specialist (Mid-Level)

About the Role
We are looking for a Regulatory Compliance Specialist with deep expertise in DNB regulatory frameworks to support financial crime compliance operations. The role focuses on ensuring adherence to evolving AML and payment services regulations, strengthening transaction monitoring capabilities, and driving process automation and design within the compliance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and implement DNB regulatory requirements, with specific focus on AMLR (Anti-Money Laundering Regulation) and PSR (Payment Services Regulation)
- Design, review, and optimize end-to-end compliance processes to meet regulatory expectations and operational efficiency targets
- Support and enhance transaction monitoring frameworks — including rule tuning, alert management, and scenario development
- Identify automation opportunities within compliance workflows and collaborate with technology teams to implement solutions
- Conduct gap analyses against current and upcoming DNB regulatory requirements and support remediation planning
- Liaise with internal stakeholders (Risk, Legal, Operations, IT) and support regulatory interactions or audits where required
- Contribute to regulatory change management — tracking new guidance and translating it into actionable process updates
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in financial regulatory compliance, preferably within a bank, payment institution, or financial services firm regulated by DNB
- Strong working knowledge of AMLR, PSR, and broader AML/CFT regulatory frameworks applicable in the Netherlands and EU
- Hands-on experience with transaction monitoring systems (e.g., NICE Actimize, Oracle FCCM, Temenos, or similar)
- Demonstrated experience in process design and documentation within a compliance or risk context
- Exposure to compliance automation tools or RPA/workflow solutions is a strong advantage
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate regulatory requirements into operational processes
- Strong communication skills — able to work across business, risk, and technology teams
- Fluency in English required; Dutch is an advantage
