The Production Manager is responsible for leading all production activities at the Scheemda
manufacturing site, which produces adhesives, lubricants, electronic inks, and graphite-milled products.
The role ensures that manufacturing operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with performance,
quality, and sustainability targets.
The Production Manager drives operational excellence, leads the implementation of Lean Manufacturing,
Six Sigma, and the Henkel Production System (HPS), and works closely with cross-functional teams
including Quality, Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance, and SHE to ensure alignment across the value
chain. The position plays a key role in continuously improving plant performance, team capability, and
customer satisfaction
Production Leadership & Execution

Oversee daily production operations to ensure safety, product quality, and output goals
are met. -
Ensure adherence to operating procedures, technical specifications, and regulatory
requirements. -
Collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance to maximize equipment availability and
performance. -
Manage production schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet demand.

Support quality topics, including Critical to Quality (CtQ) parameters, ensuring
consistent product compliance.
Continuous Improvement & HPS Development

Lead the implementation of the Henkel Production System (HPS) across the production
area. -
Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and other structured improvement programs to optimize cost,
efficiency, and waste reduction. -
Champion a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor through coaching,
visual management, and performance tracking. -
Facilitate root cause problem-solving using methodologies such as DMAIC, PDCA, and 5
Whys.
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Quality Management to address deviations, support audits, and
ensure product compliance. -
Collaborate with Logistics, Planning, Engineering, and SHE teams to ensure seamless
production execution and coordination across departments. -
Contribute to cross-site initiatives and best-practice sharing with other Henkel locations.

Participate in project teams for process changes, new equipment, and product
introductions.
Safety, Health & Environment

Ensure full compliance with all relevant SHE standards, regulations, and corporate
policies. -
Lead safety improvement initiatives, conduct risk assessments, and drive engagement in
safety behaviors. -
Promote sustainability practices in production, including waste minimization and energy
efficiency.
Team Leadership & Development

Lead and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, setting clear goals
and providing regular coaching. -
Foster a culture of accountability, safety, and high performance.

Support workforce planning, training, and succession development to ensure team
readiness and growth. -
Engage and motivate employees through transparent communication and performance
recognition.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Process
Technology, or a related technical field -
At least 8 years of experience in manufacturing, including 3+ years in a production
leadership role -
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or HPS deployment

Strong collaboration skills across functions (e.g. Quality, Logistics, Engineering, SHE)

Proficiency with ERP systems and digital production tools
- Solid understanding of SHE and quality compliance requirements in a manufacturing
