Our Culture
We are Arc.
We are inventors, makers, and dreamers from across the world, united by craftsmanship, precision, and ambition.
We learn from one another, collaborate openly, take ownership, and work to make a real difference.
Together, we create meaningful, functional products that delight millions of users in their everyday lives.
Your Role
As a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer, you will help develop and scale Arc’s manufacturing capability in the Netherlands through the design of precision mechanical solutions, tooling, and machining processes. You will play a key role in translating product and production needs into robust manufacturable designs, with a strong focus on CAD, CAM, mouldmaking tooling, and high-precision machining.
Your work will span from concept development and fixture/tool design to CNC process planning, machining strategy optimization, and hands-on support during fabrication and process improvement. You will work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure parts and tooling are manufacturable, repeatable, and built to a high standard of quality.
Responsibilities
-
Design mechanical components, fixtures, and production tooling in CAD for precision manufacturing applications.
-
Develop and optimize CAM programs for complex CNC machining operations, including 3-axis and 5-axis processes.
-
Develop machining strategies, including tool selection, workholding, cutting approaches, and process validation.
-
Collaborate with design and production teams to turn product requirements into efficient and reliable manufacturing solutions.
-
Improve manufacturability, cycle time, repeatability, and surface quality across machined parts and tooling.
-
Support prototype and production builds through hands-on involvement with machining, setup, and process optimization.
Why Join Us
Arc is built for people who make things. We are a rapidly growing premium lifestyle product company with engineering at our core. Every product we ship reflects obsessive attention to craft and detail, and we expect the same from the people who develop the tooling and machining processes behind it.
You will have ownership, access to advanced equipment, and direct collaboration with the design, product, and leadership teams. This is a role for someone who enjoys solving real manufacturing problems and turning design intent into practical, high-quality production methods.
What We Offer
-
Full ownership of mechanical and manufacturing engineering challenges within production development.
-
Access to advanced CNC and fabrication equipment.
-
Close collaboration with design, product, and leadership.
-
Fast-moving environment with meaningful technical challenges and visible impact inside and beyond the company.
Compensation and Benefits
-
Starting at €43,000 to €55,000 per year.
-
Travel compensation depending on your location.
-
The position requires on-site work in Groningen, Netherlands.
-
Complimentary Arc products and pre-launch prototypes, as well as reference products.
-
Access to high-end machinery and fabrication options.
-
26 paid vacation days (20 plus 6).
If you are passionate about mechanical design, manufacturing, CAM, tooling, and machining, have ambition, drive, and value craftsmanship, even if you do not meet every requirement, we would still love to hear from you. You might be exactly who we are looking for.
