Preferably at least 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer;
Knowledge of and experience within industrial automation is considered an advantage;
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a related engineering discipline;
Experience with 3D CAD and PDM systems;
A flexible, pragmatic and solution-oriented mindset, combined with strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
From initial concept to working machine: as a Mechanical Engineer at AWL, you play a key role in designing innovative intralogistics solutions.
Within our Intralogistics business unit, you will design smart solutions for logistical processes. What you design is not only built but also commissioned and used by customers around the world.
You will work on both existing and new concepts. From the initial idea through to a fully operational machine, you are involved every step of the way. You contribute ideas, test solutions and ensure every design detail is right.
Working closely with colleagues from various disciplines, you will be part of multidisciplinary project teams developing innovative solutions. You will also regularly collaborate with customers and suppliers, giving you direct insight into the impact of your work.
Depending on your ambitions and development goals, there are opportunities to progress into roles such as Lead Engineer.
What will you be doing?
Designing and developing mechanical concepts and machines
Performing and/or coordinating concept testing
Preparing purchasing specifications
Collaborating with customers, suppliers and fellow engineers
Contributing to the continuous improvement of standards and designs
