As a Subject Matter Expert (Citrix) at SoftwareOne you will play a critical role in driving sales success through effective problem-solving utilizing technology solutions. You will lead the scoping, design, and quoting of complex opportunities, acting as a trusted advisor to sales teams and clients while identifying cross- and up-selling potential. At the same time, you will build strong relationships with strategic vendors, optimize pricing and margins, and maintain certifications to maximize business impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Quoting for Focus/Strategic Vendors & Complex Requests: Own end-to-end quoting for complex deals and renewals, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and strong internal alignment
- Scoping and Sizing Opportunities: Assess client needs with sales and pre-sales teams to accurately scope and size opportunities aligned to business capabilities
- Solution Design and Proposal/Quote Development: Design tailored licensing solutions and deliver clear, value-driven proposals, acting as a trusted advisor to drive cross- and up-sell opportunities
- Local Relationship Management with Focus/Strategic Vendors:
- Act as the key contact for strategic vendors, driving collaboration, revenue growth initiatives, and partner engagement
- Maintain top reseller status through certification management, strong distributor relations, and active participation in vendor governance
- Margin Definition and Alignment: Define and optimize margins with sales teams by leveraging pricing strategies, rebates, and market insights to stay competitive
- Citrix Knowledge: Leverage deep Citrix expertise and partner relationships to drive vendor strategy, business planning, and continuous knowledge development
What we need to see from you
- Good understanding of the ISV landscape, with the ability to position relevant solutions to client needs
- Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into effective, outcome-driven solutions
- Proven ability to identify opportunities, handle objections, and support deal closure with sales teams
- Clear and persuasive communication skills, able to explain complex concepts and build strong relationships
- Solid knowledge of sales processes, navigating the full cycle from lead to deal closure
- Well-organized and structured, able to plan, prioritize, and align resources effectively
- Proactive and quality-focused, staying up to date with industry trends and continuously developing expertise
