Objective of the position
As Product Manager, you will own and drive selected product portfolios within Stoneridge Electronics, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, market demands, and financial targets. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders including your team, customers, production, design, procurement, senior management, and support functions.
You will be responsible for delivering clear, actionable product strategies, optimizing product lifecycle performance, and achieving defined revenue and profitability goals. A key focus of the role is building strong customer relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction while continuously improving product and business performance.
Characterization of activities

Strategy & Market Intelligence: Develop product strategies and product roadmaps based on market, competitor, and TAM/SAM/SOM analysis, supporting business cases and growth initiatives.

Commercial & Lifecycle Management: Align commercial operations with strategic goals and manage product lifecycle to optimize revenue, pricing, costs, and profitability.

Product & Customer Insights: Analyze market trends, define product value propositions, and refine customer segmentation and positioning.

Technology, Compliance & Innovation: Support engineering in roadmap execution while ensuring regulatory compliance and alignment with market needs.

Go-to-Market & Execution: Lead go-to-market strategies, RFQ processes, project support, forecasting, and risk management across the product lifecycle.

Financial Oversight & Stakeholder Management: Drive P&L reviews, cost optimization, customer alignment, and cross-functional coordination to meet financial and project targets.
Education, Experience and Knowledge

Education: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Project Management, Engineering, or equivalent with strong academic results.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in Product Management with strong customer relationship management expertise and deep understanding of product processes.

Business & Results Focus: Strong performance mindset with accountability for P&L, data-driven decision-making, and ability to handle complex trade-offs.

Leadership & Collaboration: Proven leadership and people management skills; ability to lead, coach, and deliver results in cross-functional, fast-paced environments.

Execution & Problem Solving: Highly structured and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage pressure, meet deadlines, perform root cause analysis, and drive solutions quickly.

Communication & Technical Skills: Excellent communication and professionalism with customers, strong MS Excel and data management skills, and knowledge of automotive tools (e.g., PPAP, APQP).
