The position
As a (Jr.) Data Engineer within the Data Engineering Department, you are a critical link between market data, automation, and strategic business outcomes. This would be ideal for the first step in your career, empowering you to own and improve the technical infrastructure.
Your core task is to support streamlining data stability and flow by optimizing and maintaining our existing Python scripts. Furthermore, you will be instrumental in supporting organizational efficiency by leveraging the Power Platform and AI to introduce automation and process optimization across various business functions, ensuring data accuracy for downstream financial analysis. The insights derived from these improved data streams will be translated into clear, actionable Power BI visualizations, directly supporting decision-making. We seek a technically adept engineer with good communication skills.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Support Data Transition: Play an active role in strengthening and supporting internal data infrastructure.
- Python Architect: Optimize and secure all Python scripts for rock-solid ETL and reporting stability;
- Data Reliability: Implement error handling to eliminate data pipeline issues;
- Innovation Driver: Support company-wide process automation using AI;
- Insight Visualization: Build visually compelling, high-impact Power BI dashboards;
- Strategic Analysis: Deliver and analyze data to support decision-making;
- Data Governance: Establish and enforce standards for data quality and integrity;
- Communicate Impact: Translate technical findings into clear, persuasive reports for stakeholders;

We are looking for a (Jr.) Data Engineer who
- Has a Bachelor or MSC degree;
- Excellent Analytical and communicative skills;
- Possesses the following competences: Teamwork, Effective Communication, Management and Responsibility, Leadership, Focused and Initiative, Customer focus, Relationship building, Analytical, Financial Awareness;
- Strong knowledge of related software and tools. Knowledge of Python is required, along with affinity for Data Warehousing, i.e. Microsoft Fabric. Training on specific in-house tools is possible;
- Is fluent in Dutch and English.
- This role is on site (remote one-day optional). Candidates must reside within 50km radius from the office.
