Skills, knowledge, experience required:
- Master of Science (MSc) degree from a nationally recognized/certified university in a related subject with at least 5 years of post-related experience OR Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree from a nationally recognized/certified university in a related subject with at least 7 years of post-related experience;
- Practical experience with SAN/NAS network fundamentals (TCP/IP, FC, FCoE, iSCSI, WWN, WWNP, LIFs) and SAN, unified, and NAS storage systems;
- Practical experience with Active Directory, Windows Server, and Linux (Red Hat).
Desirable:
- Training and industry certification on virtualization e.g. VCP;
- CompTIA ServerPlus, CompTIA Network, or CCNA certification;
- DataCenter certification.
Duties/role:
- Supporting Senior Technicians, Engineers, and NISC IaaS SDMs in all activities related to the design, engineering, implementation, operation, and integration of Infrastructure Hosting Services;
- Monitoring and performing daily physical checks of data center hardware and other equipment;
- Performing troubleshooting activities in the data center, identifying issues, and assisting in their timely resolution while maintaining proper records of work operations and events.
