How do you keep the Netherlands powered?
As a Sub Project Lead Low-voltage Electrical - 2GW, you are responsible for managing and delivering low-voltage and communication systems within offshore platform projects, so that the Netherlands can continue to rely on reliable, affordable and sustainable energy.
The 2GW Program is a new, more efficient approach to building the offshore power grid, enabling more electricity to be transmitted to shore using fewer cables and platforms, saving time and costs. It supports Europe’s energy transition by scaling up offshore wind, helping the Netherlands reach 30 GW of wind power by 2030.
Your responsibilities:
-
Manage the EPCI contractor throughout design and execution, ensuring delivery meets contractual agreements, planning, quality requirements and safety standards within your project scope.
-
Oversee and execute the document review process within your discipline and review critical documentation, ensuring alignment with TenneT requirements and project objectives.
-
Steer the delivery, factory acceptance testing (FAT) and commissioning of LV and communication systems, ensuring systems are delivered and installed according to specifications.
-
Act as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders such as Asset Management and Grid Field Operations, ensuring effective alignment and decision-making within your scope.
-
Coordinate fabrication and commissioning activities across multiple international sites and vendors, ensuring smooth integration of systems within the platform scope.
-
Ensure the application of standards such as Safety by Design, systems engineering and the 2GW standard design, ensuring consistency, compliance and quality within your scope and project environment.
You operate within the HVDC offshore domain and are responsible for a clearly defined technical scope covering low-voltage electrical and communication systems across multiple offshore platforms delivered by one EPCI contractor. You lead this scope throughout the full project lifecycle—from design and engineering to manufacturing, testing and handover to operations—together with a multidisciplinary project team and one technical specialist reporting to you.
In this role, you combine contractor management with technical coordination and act as the connecting link between engineering, suppliers and internal stakeholders within your scope. You work in a complex international environment with approximately 10 vendors across Europe, the Middle East and Asia, requiring strong alignment across the supply chain. Frequent travel is part of the role to construction yards, manufacturing locations and contractor offices to ensure progress, quality and collaboration.
