Disney+
Disney+ is The Walt Disney Company’s new Direct to Consumer (DTC) video entertainment service targeted to families and fans of our iconic content and brands. The service consists of long form and short form video built around six key content brands (Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars National Geographic and Star), with an appealing and easy to use interface accessed across multiple platforms including TVs, mobile devices, and gaming consoles.
The launch of the Star brand in February 2021 further expanded our DTC business in EMEA to include a new general entertainment offering. Star features a wide range of exclusive new original and library TV series and movies from our portfolio of studios including ABC Studios, Fox Television, FX, Freeform, 20th Century Studios and Searchlight, as well as local acquisitions and forthcoming local original series.
Job Summary
Disney is seeking a qualified paralegal on a full-time basis to fulfil the position of Paralegal Benelux, Nordics & Baltics (based in Amsterdam). This role will be reporting to the Principal Counsel Benelux, Nordics & Baltics.
Key Responsibilities
Act as assistant, contract manager and paralegal to the Legal team for Benelux, Nordics & Baltics.
Responsible for contract signature, archiving and digital filing of agreements, the relevant workflows and procedures, and the streamlining, awareness and full compliance therewith.
Responsible for up-to-date and structured (regional) folders on the Legal database.
General administration.
Carry out legal research.
Assist legal counsels on corporate governance matters concerning Disney entities and joint ventures.
Assist legal counsels on compliance matters concerning Disney entities and joint ventures.
Coordination with the paralegals and legal counsels of Disney (based abroad).
Qualifications
Relevant education at level Higher Professional Education
Experience within (international) company and/or law firm, but candidates outside this range will be considered if they can demonstrate the relevant competencies.
Excellent skills in (legal) writing.
First-rate social skills in operating within complex creative-driven environments.
Exceptional communication skills.
Proactive problem-solving skills.
Ability to juggle competing priorities on a daily basis.
Ability to build relationships and be effective across many different cultures and in a variety of working environments.
Ability to act independently.
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
