Senior Android Engineer | Kotlin | Global Banking App
Join the team building the native app platform used by customers of a large international bank across multiple countries. You’ll write production Kotlin for a banking app at global scale, work alongside engineers and architects from across the organization’s international footprint, and help shape how the whole Android domain builds quality software, from testing standards to technical design decisions.
About the role
As a Senior Android Engineer you take full ownership of features across their lifecycle: you design them, build them, test them, deploy them, monitor them, and support them in production. You’ll work in a multidisciplinary squad alongside business colleagues, while also coaching and supporting fellow engineers through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
- You contribute to technical design decisions and help drive engineering excellence within the Android domain.
- You collaborate with engineers, architects and stakeholders across multiple countries to deliver scalable, global solutions.
- Alongside your squad work, you’ll get the chance to give presentations and workshops, sharing your expertise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Who are you?
- More than 5 years of professional experience designing, building and maintaining Android applications
- Extensive hands-on experience with Kotlin in production environments
- Strong believer in testable code, with experience writing Espresso tests, Unit tests and Screenshot tests
- Solid understanding of security and accessibility best practices in mobile development
- Comfortable working in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with business and technology stakeholders
- Fluent in English (written and spoken), with strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- A proactive team player who’s comfortable coordinating across multiple countries and teams
