Customs Support Specialist
In this role, you provide specialist support to the Execution teams within the Customs department and actively contribute to improving customs processes within DHL Supply Chain.
The Customs department
Our operational customs department takes care of the customs formalities for inbound and outbound shipments for various customers at multiple locations in the Benelux.
This is what a Customs Support Specialist does
-
As a Customs Support Specialist, you support the Customs Execution teams with customs-related questions and customs system issues. Questions are received centrally via the Customs Support mailbox and are handled independently by you. You analyze the issue, coordinate with team members and/or the Compliance team where necessary and always ensure clear feedback on the chosen solution.
-
You classify and register questions and issues and identify structural improvement opportunities. Based on these insights, you initiate improvement initiatives at both operational and system level. For system improvements, you prepare well-founded proposals for the Compliance team.
-
In addition, you perform or facilitate UATs for new customers and system changes. You have administrative rights in the customs system and support the Execution teams with changes they are unable to perform themselves.
-
You identify training needs within the Customs Execution teams and, in alignment with Compliance, develop targeted training sessions based on recurring questions and knowledge gaps. In doing so, you actively contribute to knowledge retention and quality improvement within the department.
-
You work independently and, in a project-based manner, taking ownership of the topics you are responsible for. You monitor progress, set priorities, and report to the Business Process Manager.

A full-time daytime position
-
A competitive starting salary between €3,039 and €3,763, with growth potential up to €4,490 depending on your knowledge and experience
