You make sure everything is in the right place at the right time
At Sun Test Systems, everything revolves around precision and planning. Machines, projects, orders — it all needs to run smoothly, and you play a leading role in making that happen. As a Work Planner, you're the connecting link between the office and the shop floor: you make sure the right orders, drawings, and instructions are available at the right moment, so nothing falls through the cracks.
This isn't a role where you disappear behind a screen doing admin all day, you're right in the middle of the process, with regular contact on the shop floor.
What you'll be doing
- You keep a close eye on fault reports from the shop floor. If a technician runs into a problem that stops them from continuing, you make sure it gets picked up and doesn't get left behind.
- You handle urgent issues immediately. Some problems need to be solved right away to keep production running.
- You prepare orders in our system. You process and set up orders so purchasing and production can run smoothly.
- You get projects ready to go. You prepare drawings and instructions per project, so the shop floor knows exactly what needs to happen.
- You're visible on the floor. You print orders and bring them to the shop floor, acting as the link between planning and execution.
- You keep track of the bigger picture. You update reports so everyone always knows where things stand.
About you
- You're precise and like structure, but you don't panic when things get busy.
- You don't mind chasing down information yourself.
- You communicate easily (in English), both with colleagues in the office and on the shop floor.
- You get up to speed on our systems in no time.
- You have experience in planning, logistics, or a similar role.
- Affinity with a technical or production environment is a plus.
