We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated Kitchen Team Members to join our team at Dutch Pancake Masters in the heart of Amsterdam.
We are a pancake restaurant, but we are much more than that. Every year, we welcome hundreds of tourist groups and individual guests from all over the world. While Dutch pancakes are our specialty, our group menus offers a wide variety of dishes, making every shift diverse and enjoyable.
As part of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing, plating, and serving high-quality dishes while maintaining excellent hygiene standards. Your contribution helps create an unforgettable experience for our guests and ensures a smooth-running kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and complete mise en place for daily service.
- Cook, plate, and serve dishes according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic work environment in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Clean kitchen utensils, equipment, and workstations.
- Help maintain the quality and consistency of all dishes served.
- Assist with stock control and inventory management to minimize waste.
- Receive and check deliveries.
- Work closely with your colleagues to provide efficient and friendly service.
- Open or close the kitchen during your shift when required.
What We're Looking For
- Previous kitchen experience or relevant culinary education.
- Good understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- HACCP certification is an advantage; knowledge of HACCP is required.
- Basic food preparation and knife skills.
- Flexible availability and a proactive attitude. A typical 9-to-5 mindset is not the right fit for our hospitality environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen.
