We are seeking a motivated Account Manager to drive sales and develop strong customer relationships across the Waters Biosciences portfolio within the Amsterdam, Leiden and The Hague region of the Netherlands. Reporting to the Sales Manager Benelux, you will be responsible for growing sales of Waters Immunocytometry and Waters Pharmingen products, with a particular focus on flow cytometry instrumentation and associated reagents.
This is a permanent, field-based role covering a strategically important territory with customers across universities, research institutes, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organisations and hospitals. Alongside developing existing customer relationships, you will proactively identify new opportunities, expand your network within the scientific community and help customers find solutions that support their research and clinical work.
Responsibilities:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed assigned sales targets within the designated territory.
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities while building relationships with customers across academic, research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and clinical organisations.
- Manage and grow existing accounts by understanding customer needs, delivering product demonstrations and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals and quotations to prospective and existing customers.
- Negotiate and close sales agreements while ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities and forecasts within the CRM system.
- Attend scientific conferences, trade shows and other industry events to promote Waters Biosciences products and remain informed about market developments.
- Work closely with technical support, marketing and product management teams to provide customers with a high level of service and share market insights.
Preferred Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biotechnology or another life science discipline. A Master's degree or PhD is considered an advantage.
- Proven sales experience, or an initial sales background, within the life sciences industry combined with a strong commercial mindset.
- Knowledge of flow cytometry or related life science technologies, analytical instrumentation or associated reagents.

Ability to communicate confidently with researchers, clinicians and laboratory professionals and build lasting customer relationships.
- Fluent in Dutch and English, with a valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
- Experience using CRM software, such as Salesforce, and Microsoft Office.
