- Affinity with data analysis and data-driven decision making.
Where will you land
Due to the rapidly changing environment, KLM aims to become the most data- and technology-driven airline in the world. Changing the way of working, modernizing the technology stack and architecture, and positioning people correctly within the Data & Technology organization are crucial to achieving this ambition.
Business Platforms form the core of the Data & Technology organization. They consist of product teams organized around business processes within KLM: Flight, Ground, Integral Planning & Control (IP&C), HR, and Safety Security & Crisis Management.
This vacancy is within the Business Platform IP&C. IP&C is responsible for developing flexible flight planning that allows KLM to fly where and when there is demand while balancing occupancy and reliability, meeting network promises and reducing non-performance costs.
The platform supports the business departments Network & Planning, Operations Control and Hub Control with IT tooling to develop robust and flexible flight schedules and optimize and monitor daily operations and disruptions.
As a culturally diverse platform with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, the organization strives for sustainable growth and success.
The Project
We are looking for an experienced professional to join the simulator team at IP&C.
Supporting the Network Planning department, the team is developing a simulator to determine capacity needs and potential problem areas on the day of execution well in advance.
Focusing on the integrality of all interrelated processes and resources related to handling flights, the BPA is the linking pin between a variety of stakeholder groups and the cross-functional development team, ensuring all requirements are met, the right information is gathered from the right sources, and the product is validated and adopted within future business processes.
