Operational Site Leader - Venray
We are searching for an experienced Operational Site Leader - Venray at our Venray facility.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead site operations. Drive performance through your leadership team. Make impact on patient safety worldwide.
As Operational Site Leader in Venray, you carry full responsibility for the performance of site operations. You lead the entire operation across production, engineering, quality, and supply chain as part of site operations, and ensure everything runs safely, efficiently and in full compliance with regulatory standards.
This role is about more than managing an operation — it is about enabling a complex organization to perform at its best. You lead through a team of experienced managers, creating alignment, clarity and ownership across functions so site operations run as one integrated and aligned operation.
You combine strategic oversight with visible, hands-on leadership on the shop floor. You understand what drives performance, where risks sit and how to translate strategy into clear direction for your teams — ensuring the right priorities are set, executed and followed through.
What you’ll be working on
Driving safe and compliant operations
You set the standard for how the site operates, ensuring safety is owned and driven across all layers of the organization.

Define and drive the strategic direction for safety across all operations

Enable and hold leaders accountable for safety ownership and compliance

Ensure environmental compliance and structural risk mitigation
Owning quality in a regulated environment
You ensure quality is not managed in silos, but consistently driven across teams.

Translate quality strategy into clear direction for the leadership team

Drive a culture of ownership and continuous improvement across functions

Ensure strong execution of validation, CAPA and complaint handling

Align teams in eliminating recurring issues through structured problem solving
Delivering reliable performance
You create alignment between teams to ensure consistent output and delivery.

Drive performance against OTIF and lead-time targets

Ensure planning, scheduling and purchasing operate as one connected process

Balance service levels, cost and operational efficiency through your teams
Improving operational performance
You raise the maturity of the operation by strengthening how teams work together.

Lead site-wide performance and productivity improvements

Drive OEE and process optimization through your leadership team

Ensure processes are standardized, followed and continuously improved
Leading leaders and building the organization
You lead through your managers and create the conditions for the organization to perform.

Lead and develop a team of functional managers across operations

Create alignment, accountability and clear ownership within and between teams

Ensure decisions are data-driven and priorities are understood across the site

Guide the organization through change, growth and increasing complexity

Stay visible and connected to teams and operations on the shop floor
Owning site performance and direction
You are accountable for both operational and financial outcomes, delivered through your organization.

Set operational plans, KPI targets and capital budgets

Monitor performance, challenge deviations and drive follow-up through your teams

Align continuous improvement with site and EMEA strategy

Remove barriers and ensure execution across functions

Working environment
You combine strategic leadership with hands-on involvement in daily operations, including regular presence on the production floor and in cleanroom environments. Occasional travel may be required.

Required Qualifications:
What you bring
You are a senior operations leader who knows how to drive results through people. You understand how to build structure, create alignment and enable teams to perform in a complex manufacturing environment.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, with increasing responsibility

Strong track record in driving performance through teams and continuous improvement
-
Experience with Lean, Six Sigma and structured problem solving
-
Experience in regulated environments (GMP, ISO or similar)
-
Strong leadership and communication skills (English)
-
Results-driven, structured and able to manage complexity at site level
