After an extensive training program about our company, technology, products, and applications in which our instruments are being used, you will work with a diverse set of customers to support them with flow and pressure measurement and control solutions for their applications. Speed is important to us. That counts for our instruments as well as for our customer support. You will have daily interactions with universities, research institutions, R&D centers, and (production) engineering departments active in a diverse set of fields and industries, such as aerospace, bioscience, chemical, food & beverage, hydrogen & coating.
- Evaluate inquiries from customers including questions, quote requests, orders or support request;
- Offer high‑tech solutions to OEM, business partners or students for a wide range of industries.
- Dig deeper into a customer’s application and discuss with engineering colleagues in Europe or the US to determine the best solution;
- Support customers with troubleshooting in the European lab or visit the customer to solve the problems on‑site;
- Support your distribution partners with questions, quoting, and troubleshooting by e‑mail, phone, or by doing joint‑customer visits;
- Having a meeting with marketing to help developing better campaigns;
- Doing a training session about a new product that will be launched;
- You will finish your day knowing that you helped customers solve technical challenges.
The Application Engineers are key in our ambition to be fast in supporting our customers, above market standards. As an Application Engineer, you work with customers to quickly understand their specific technical requirements, and ensure that our proposed solution meets their needs and is supplied fast. However, applications engineering is more than science. It’s helping exceptional scientists, researchers, and engineers all over Europe to progress with great technical customer support. An Application Engineer needs a curious mind with a passion for details and accelerating scientific and technological development.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in science, engineering, or mathematics;
- Strong written and verbal English skills are required (at least C1‑level);
- Fluency in the German language is required;
- Knowledge of or interest in fluid control applications, such as Mass Flow Control & Pressure Control is also a plus;
- Knowledge or a strong interest in one or more of the following fields: physics, aerospace, semiconductor technology, environmental analysis, education, process control, manufacturing, optical sciences, bioprocess, chemistry and/or fluid dynamics;
- While work experience is not required, a few years of experience is preferred and will be considered an advantage.
