APM terminals have embarked on an exciting new growth strategy. Based on its vast experience and internationally recognized processes we aim to have a best-in-class implementation setup through standardized and optimized clear processes whilst managing an agile team to enable delivery. This setup will enable successful evaluation and delivery of various types of projects including large new capital investments, integration of mergers and acquisitions and expansions of existing facilities.
Project Manager - Asset Management Implementation, BIM will own Asset Maintenance discipline across the growth pipeline form an implementation perspective, be accountable for developing business cases and implementing APMT AM standards and systems within all new projects under BIM portfolio.

Location: The Hague, Netherlands (The role may require occasional short-term travel).
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and coordinate all Equipment under Asset Management (AM) and Business Implementation (BIM) portfolio.
Work closely with global Asset Management, Engineering, Automation teams and disciplines and ensure we implement all Equipment and Asset Management standards per APMT established processes.
Liaise with all relevant shareholders’ HQ functional departments and challenge requirements for AM set-up ensuring the use of the most up-to-date and fit-for-purpose asset maintenance solutions during project scope and value engineering.
Develop and co-own detailed budget, schedule, risk and overall AM project implementation plan for all new projects. Have strategies, mitigations and response plans for risks, re-assess project value if needed.
Support and drive AM activities for integration projects and ensure newly acquired businesses are well integrated into APM Terminals.
Review and build maintenance and reliability requirements in the form of specifications in the new projects, check BOQs (Bill of Quantities) and participate in wider stakeholder management to ensure costs, risk and performance is built in requirements (Employer General Requirements - EGRs)
Act as a first line of corporate support to projects with challenges across all Asset Maintenance areas. This is not limited to conduct of TCOs (Total Cost of Ownership) covering both CapEx and OpEx estimates,
review supplier proposal and developing high quality summaries for the APMT leadership decision making.
Work closely with all APMT technical and engineering functions to ensure alignment during business case building as well as during implementation.
Closely manage and monitor equipment budgets and change requests in projects.
Be a bridge between regional AM leadership, BIM and Global AM to ensure priorities are aligned.
Assess delays and report on what corrective measures are being taken to mitigate delays.
A hands on, GEMBA approach to understanding and solving problems, LEAN mindset - in collaboration with terminals and functional subject matter experts.
Actively participate in Equipment procurement for projects, representing Asset Management. Visit manufacturing sites (as need be), build and maintain good relationships with major suppliers and ensure we manage them proactively to minimize delays of equipment.
We are looking for people with:
Solid experience in industrial or infrastructure project related environment, preferably in the transport and logistics sector.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in an engineering and asset management discipline in leadership roles.

Ability to simplify complex topics for non-technical audiences.
Good knowledge in standard professional programs (i.e. MS Office, IFS / BI systems).
Engineering degree or Port Equipment maintenance experience.
