As a Front Office Manager at Amrâth Apart Hotel Schiphol – Badhoevedorp, you are responsible for the smooth, efficient, and guest-focused operation of the entire front office department. You lead the front office team with confidence and positivity, ensuring optimal staffing, clear communication, and a consistently high level of service. You monitor quality standards, streamline processes, and proactively identify opportunities to enhance both guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. As Front Office Manager, you are the central point of contact for guests, colleagues, and external partners, and you play a key role in the daily success of our apart-hotel.
- Front Office Leadership - You manage, coach, and inspire the front office team, ensuring a professional and welcoming atmosphere at all times.
- Operational Management - You oversee daily reception operations, maintain structure during peak moments, and ensure smooth check-in and check-out processes.
- Guest Relations - You handle guest questions, feedback, and complaints with care, ensuring a positive and solution-oriented experience.
- VIP & Long-Stay Guests - You ensure personalized service for VIPs and long-stay guests, anticipating needs and preferences.
- Administration & Reporting - You manage administrative tasks, financial procedures, and reporting within the Property Management System (PMS) as well as other In House Systems (IHS).
- Room Coordination - You collaborate closely with housekeeping to optimise room availability and ensure accurate room status updates.
- Training & Development - You onboard new colleagues, provide ongoing training, and monitor adherence to internal procedures and quality standards.
- Process Improvement - You identify opportunities to improve workflows, guest satisfaction, and team performance.
- Food Market - Part of your duties is to manage and keep our Food Market up to speed, ensuring our guests have the best offering at all time.
- Hospitality Mindset - You are guest-oriented, enthusiastic, and thrive in a dynamic, international hotel environment.
- Leadership Skills - You have strong communication and coaching abilities, and you enjoy motivating your team.
- Stress Resistance - You maintain overview and calm during busy moments and ensure smooth operations.
- Flexibility - You are available for morning, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Language Skills - You speak English fluently; additional languages are a plus.
- Experience - Experience with Front Office Supervision / Management and experience in hospitality is highly preferred.
- Admin knowledge - Experience in administrative processes is preferred.
- A full-time position (38 hours) in a modern apart-hotel near Schiphol Airport.
- A one year contract with possibilities of extension.
- Salary according to the Hospitality CAO, depending on experience.
