As a Transport Planner, you will be the heartbeat of our supply chain operations. You will be responsible for designing, optimizing, and executing daily transport schedules that balance cost-efficiency, environmental sustainability, and strict delivery windows. Operating in a fast-paced environment, you will serve as the primary link between our commercial teams, warehouse operations, external carriers, and international clients.
The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, thrives under pressure, and can easily pivot when real-world disruptions challenge the initial plan.
Your Responsibilities
You will play an important role in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring smooth communication with clients and partners. Your tasks will include:
- Execute daily domestic and international transport routes being the primary point of contact for drivers, internal warehouse and project management team
- Responding to customer inquiries and directing them to the right channels.
- Negotiate spot rates with carriers when standard contract capacities are exceeded.
- Monitor supplier's performance against established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as On-Time Delivery (OTD).
- Coordinating with transportation providers to guarantee timely and accurate shipment handling.
- Proactively monitor shipments in transit, identifying potential delays (e.g., traffic, customs bottlenecks, port congestion) and implementing immediate contingency plans.
- Resolve delivery discrepancies, transport damages, or missing documentation in real time.
- Analyze historical transport data to identify recurring inefficiencies and propose process improvements.
Our ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and eager to learn. You bring the following qualifications:
- HBO diploma (or equivalent level).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of logistics software is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is a strong plus.
