Are you an early riser who enjoys working independently and creating a great start to the day for hotel guests? Westlake Hotels Amsterdam is looking for a reliable and organised Breakfast Employee to join our team.
This position is ideal for someone looking for consistent morning work and who is comfortable working independently.
About Us
Westlake Hotels Amsterdam is part of RB Horeca, one of Amsterdam's leading hospitality groups. We operate a collection of hotels, restaurants, cafés and bars across the city, known for excellent hospitality and a supportive team culture.
The Role
As our Breakfast Employee, you will be responsible for the entire breakfast service. You'll prepare and set up the breakfast area before guests arrive, welcome and assist guests during service, keep everything fully stocked and presentable, and pack everything down afterwards.
Most shifts are worked independently, or occasionally with one other colleague, so we're looking for someone who is confident taking ownership of their work without constant supervision.
Working hours:
- Morning shifts: 06:30 – 12:00
- Maximum 6-hour shifts
- Approximately 18–24 hours per week
- Weekend availability is essential.
Because of the early start time, applicants who live close to the hotel or can reliably travel to work by 06:30 will be preferred.
The initial contract is a 0-hour contract for 7 months, including a 1-month probation period.
Your Responsibilities
- Prepare and set up the breakfast buffet before service
- Welcome guests and provide friendly service throughout breakfast
- Refill food and beverages as needed
- Keep the breakfast area clean, organised and inviting
- Clear tables and assist with light dishwashing where required
- Pack down and clean the breakfast area after service
- Follow HACCP and hygiene standards at all times
- Work independently and take responsibility for the smooth operation of breakfast service
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual and comfortable with early morning starts
- Able to work independently and take initiative
- Friendly and guest-focused
- Organised with good attention to detail
- Hospitality experience is an advantage but not essential
- Fluent in English
- Available to work weekends
- Living in or near Amsterdam with reliable transport for a 06:30 start
- Valid permission to work in the Netherlands
