Your role
As Head of Project Management Cranes, you are one of the key pillars of the Cranes Project House within Digital Industries. You combine hands-on responsibility for complex technical projects with leadership of a small, experienced team of Project Managers.
Your role is highly visible and requires a helicopter view across projects, technology and teams to keep quality, planning and performance on track. You bring structure, direction and clarity to your team, supporting both experienced colleagues and those needing more guidance. You work closely with engineering, taking joint ownership of technical challenges and guiding teams through complexity and pressure.
This is not a purely managerial role. You remain deeply involved in project execution and leading your own projects, while also contributing to the broader direction of the department. As part of the Management Team, you are part of decisions beyond project delivery, such as project selection, resource allocation and tooling development. You play a crucial role in balancing short-term execution with long-term improvements, ensuring the department continuously evolves.

Your responsibilities

Deliver complex projects involving power-, drive-, automation- and network technology

Guide, support and develop a team of Project Managers

Play an active role in the Management Team and drive effective resource planning across the portfolio

Take ownership in resolving technical and project challenges together with engineering

Ensure strong performance on quality, planning and customer satisfaction

Drive continuous improvement of project management processes (e.g. lessons learned, reviews, Q-MIP)
Your success is grounded in
You are a senior project professional who enjoys working in a high-pressure, technical environment. You naturally maintain an overview and seek collaboration, enabling you to set the right priorities and boundaries.

A completed technical degree (Bachelor or Master)

At least 5 years of proven experience in managing complex technical projects (hardware/software combination)

Proven leadership experience (formal or informal), like Team Lead, PM Lead or senior Project Manager

Curiosity and drive to continuously learn about people and project optimization, and are willing to deep dive into technical challenges.

You take initiative, have strong management skills and an analytical and structured way of working.

Ability to prioritize and stay effective under pressure, even when issues are complex and long-lasting.
