Founding Creative / Social Media / Graphic Design Collaborator for ȘATRA (Volunteer)

About ȘATRA
ȘATRA is a community driven cultural gathering being built in Amsterdam around music, food, art, belonging and human connection.
The name comes from the idea of a traditional șatră, a gathering or travelling community, where people come together to share stories, music, food and life. The vision behind ȘATRA is to create a warm, welcoming space where strangers can become community, where different cultures meet, and where artists, creatives, volunteers and guests all help shape the atmosphere together.
This first gathering is planned for September 2026 in Amsterdam, and I’m currently looking for a few people who would like to help shape the visual and online identity of ȘATRA from the beginning.
Who I’m looking for
I’m open to hearing from people with experience in one or more of the following:
- Graphic design
- Poster / flyer / event visual design
- Social media content creation
- Photography / videography / editing
- Instagram / TikTok content
- Branding / visual identity
- Community-focused storytelling
- Creative direction for cultural / music / community events
You do not need to do everything. If your strength is in one area and you connect with the project, I’d still love to hear from you.
What you could help with
Depending on your skills and availability, support could include:
- Designing posters, flyers and visual assets for the first ȘATRA gathering
- Helping shape the visual identity / look and feel of ȘATRA
- Creating Instagram / social content before the event
- Capturing the process behind the scenes, artists, volunteers, preparation and event atmosphere
- Helping tell the story of ȘATRA in a way that feels human, warm and real
- Supporting the event-day content, visuals or communication if available
The kind of person I’d love to work with
Someone who:
- genuinely connects with the idea of community, belonging and cultural exchange
- likes building things from the beginning
- enjoys working on projects that are a little more human and less corporate
- is reliable, communicative and easy to collaborate with
- can bring ideas, not only execute instructions
- feels comfortable in a multicultural, creative and community-based environment
Important to know
This is a volunteer / founding collaborator role connected to the first edition of a donation-based event.
At this stage, there is no fixed salary attached to the role. I’m looking for people who genuinely connect with the project and would like to help build its first chapter together. My aim is to create something meaningful and long-term, and if ȘATRA grows in the way I believe it can, I would love for the right people to grow with it into future paid collaborations and a longer-term team around the project.
